The Assembly Place will open its first Service Apartment near Tembusu Grand
The Assembly Place (TAP), will open its first service apartment at 58 Stevens Road – The Assembly Place @ Stevens – as part of a five year partnership with the Metropolitan YMCA. It will be open to guests starting March 2023. The location itself is near Tembusu Grand and is sure to benefit its residents.
The service apartment consists of 27 units that are fully furnished, ranging from Studio apartments to 3-bedroom family suites. There are a total 46 rooms.
They offer comfort and space that is homely for family and business travellers who are looking to stay for a longer period of time. It is also strategically located in the city’s fringe, a few minutes walk from Stevens MRT station, and a short distance from bustling Orchard Road.
MYMCA is a great partner for us. They share our same values, beliefs, and vision of building a strong community to launch the first service apartment in Singapore. Eugene Lim, founder and CEO of The Assembly Place, said that they look forward to working closely together with MYMCA’s team over the next five years.
The Assembly Place is excited about this new service apartment space. It will complement our existing accommodation classes such as hostels, hotels, and residential. He said that this will increase TAP’s status as the accommodation of preference. “We are looking forward to adding more accommodation classes in the coming months to meet the growing demand of new members.”
It is time to add service apartments to TAP’s portfolio with 2 hotels and a hostel already under The Assembly Place brand.
The Assembly Place @ Stevens, Service Residences, will be the first of four service apartments to be launched this year under The Assembly Place brand.
Launched Successfully 2nd Co-Living hotel
The Assembly Place launched in January 2023 its second co-living hotel, The Assembly Place A Co-Living Hotel @ Veerasamy. Sustainability was its main focus.
Cloversoft, a local company, was formed to supply environmentally-friendly products in all hotel rooms.
Lim stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Cloversoft to take TAP’s first steps towards sustainability, and to provide safe products for our guests.”
TAP’s average occupancy rate has been 85% since its launch last month. A single room starts at S$110 and a family room starts at S$200 per day.
1500 Rooms in operation by June 2023
The Assembly Place secured nearly 400 rooms for the launch of the next few months, after has crossed 1000 rooms in September 2022.
The group will take over an 80-room apartment in East London in April. The 152 rooms at Mill at 32 are located near the Mill at 32 co-living space. In the past year, 98% of the rooms have been occupied.
Lim stated, “We are confident that 80 additional rooms will serve the growing demand for members looking to space in this location,”
The 40-room, newly constructed residential building on Mattar Road will be another. It is expected to receive its Temporary Occupation Permits (TOP) within the next one to 2 months. It will be the first asset TAP has in this region, and is only a five-minute walk from Mattar MRT station.
TAP also launched a 4-storey block of residential buildings along Duke Road in two phases. This 42-room residential building was completed in February after works began in October 2022. TAP has experienced strong interest and take up rate since its launch. 50% of the 42-room residential building was leased in less than a week. This number is expected to rise to 90% by February 2023.
